Tracy Newel was born and raised in Fresno and attended Bullard High.  She graduated from Mills College in Oakland, California in 2003 with a degree in political, legal and economic analysis and currently works as the assistant director of development for the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno.  She loves working at Fresno State and meeting all the community supporters and students associated with the business school.

She sits on the board of the Wellness@Work Advisory Team and volunteers with the Unitarian Universalist Church and her alma mater.  As a hobby, she writes a monthly column on her epicurean adventures for The Undercurrent.  She has a passion for the farmer’s market, backyard chickens, and the library.  Her husband, Nyeland, is a dental student, and they own a little white house in the Tower District.  This fall she plans to start the MBA for Executives at the Craig School.
