Stephanie Pearl

Downtown Community Arts Collective

Stephanie Pearl is a native of Fresno, California, and is a primarily self-taught artist.  She graduated from high school in Madera.  She moved to San Francisco in 1987, and spent much of her time there as a regular at museums and gallery openings, studying such famed artists as Picasso, Segal, Rauschenberg and Dali.  She returned to Fresno in 1994, and did artwork with such mediums as wire sculpture and metals, and later moved on to canvass and wood surfaces.


Pearl is a contemporary artist that uses various media and mediums to create two and three-dimensional works that reflect the symbiotic relationship between human beings and nature.  She has a degree in English literature from California State University, Fresno.  She has been employed at Fresno State, and was nominated and voted president of the Fig Tree Gallery Co-op in Fresno.  Pearl founded the Downtown Community Arts Collective in 2008.e with Erin and their son, Taylor.
