Miles Wilhelm
Spline Motion Studios
Born in Fresno and raised in Madera, Wilhelm spent his childhood acting with the Fresno Children’s Playhouse, and graduated from Sierra High. At the age of 21 he traveled the country visiting all 48 contiguous states in 17,000 miles. He graduated from Fresno State University by combining three disciplines into a special major that led to the creation of a new area of study. In 2005, Wilhelm traveled to China with the Chamber of Commerce and was asked to speak in Shanghai to a delegation of local businessmen. Recent adventures have included trips to India, Germany and Ireland.
Wilhelm started Spline Motion Studios in 2003 with the hopes of building a small animation studio. He and his team ended up filling a need of 3-D architectural renders for architects and developers, and they have been growing steadily since. Wilhelm’s most enjoyable projects have been animating storyboards for a Chrysler commercial, helping visualize the Discover Center and Downtown Library with local architect Arthur Dyson, and designing new features for the fast-evolving Rotary Storyland-Playland with Barry Falke.
