Kevin Christie was born in Illinois and graduated from high school in Virginia. He joined the Marine Corp at age 17 and was awarded Platoon Honor Graduate upon completion of Marine recruit training. Following six years of service in the Marines, Kevin completed his education at California State University Chico studying Exercise Physiology. During college, Kevin began working as a personal trainer and realized his passion for fitness and sincere desire to help others create healthy lifestyles. He is proud to have worked in all areas of a health club from entry-level positions to management and operations
Kevin’s experience in the health club industry includes managing clubs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Cairo Egypt. While living in Los Angeles, he learned from his long time mentor and now business partner Ed Connors of an opportunity to acquire an existing Gold’s Gym in Fresno.
Since acquiring the Gold’s Gym seven years ago, Kevin attributes his success in reviving the existing Gold’s as well as the success of their second location in North Fresno to his staff.
Kevin and his wife Liz have three children; Gavin, Zoie and Lexie.
