Jeremy Lane

Baloian Farms

Born and raised in Selma, California, Jeremy Lane grew up spending time helping his grandpa on the farm. Jeremy was fortunate to be able to take agriculture classes at Selma High School where my passion for farming intensified.

After graduating from Fresno State with a degree in Plant Science, Jeremy began working for Baloian Farms, as well as farming on his own. In an attempt to learn more about USDA policy and how it could protect farmers, Jeremy accepted a job with PACA, an investigative division of the USDA in Chicago.

Although Jeremy thoroughly enjoyed his three years in The Windy City, he missed farming and moved back to Fresno with a new wealth of knowledge about the agricultural industry. He's recently developed a great interest and passion for local and sustainable food sources.

In October 2008, he was sponsored to attend the prestigious Terra Madre event in Turin, Italy as a delegate of Slow Food Madera. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling around the world with his beautiful wife Flannery.
