Andreas Borgeas

Council Member, City of Fresno

Andreas Borgeas was sworn in as a member of the Fresno City Council in January 2009. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University, master’s from Harvard University, Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law School, a Fulbright Fellowship, and in 2000 his license to practice law by the California Bar.

After serving as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Oliver W. Wanger at the U.S. District Court, Borgeas specialized in business law in private practice, and also served as an in-house counsel for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD, now FINRA) where he dealt with securities regulation throughout California. Borgeas is currently on the faculty as an adjunct professor at the San Joaquin College of Law.
